Colour Guard is suitable for both interior and exterior use, and sets a new standard in concrete staining and surface protection. Attainment of a darker and richer colour with subsequent coatings.

Colour Guard is specifically tailored for porous cementitious products. It is important to note that Colour Guard will not be effective on cementitious products with residual oil or waxy residue, as the is creates a barrier that prevents adequate penetration. Colour Guard can not be used on previously painted surfaces.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Colour Guard is specifically tailored for porous surfaces in need of a penetrating colour stain and reliable protection. 

• Do not dilute.
• Shake well before use.
• Conduct a preliminary test in a discreet area before commencing the full application.
• Thoroughly review all instructions to ensure precise planning and execution.
• Take necessary precautions to shield adjacent surfaces requiring protection during application.
• Verify desired outcomes in an inconspicuous area before proceeding with the complete application.
• Ensure the work area is clean and devoid of any dust, wax, oil, grout, cement, or other blemishes.
• Allow ample drying time for the surface before applying Colour Guard ; surface must be bone dry.
• During the spray application, maintain a distance of 20-30cm from the target area to ensure that Colour Guard is applied evenly without drift.
• Use a sweeping motion and apply overlapping passes to ensure an even coverage without excessive build-up.
• Allow approximately 4 – 6 hours for the coating to dry before considering additional coats.
• Apply a minimum of 2 coats.
• Allow 24 hours after final coat to cure

APPLICATION GUIDELINES AND PRECAUTIONS:

• Employ a tool such as pressure pump spray bottle for the application process.
• Avoid application in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces.
• Colour Guard is water-based. To clean tools, simply rinse them under warm water. Wash with mild soap and warm water, and rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear.
• Avoid spraying on windy weather conditions, as this can cause drift, affecting non-target areas.

Pro Tip: When using Colour Guard on a large area, it is advisable to use multiple bottles from the same batch number to prevent potential colour variations. Alternatively blend bottles before application.
