Applying SCC Flex-E-Guard is straightforward, making it an excellent choice for both seasoned professionals and first-time DIYers.
– Clean the area thoroughly, removing dust, dirt, and loose debris.
– If the substrate is porous, dampen it slightly to improve adhesion.Step 2: Mix the Two-Part System
– Combine Part A (cementitious base) with Part B (liquid polymer) in the recommended ratio.
– Mix until smooth and lump-free.Step 3: Apply the First Coat
– Use a brush, roller, or trowel to apply the first coat.
– For high-stress areas (like joints and corners), embed a waterproofing membrane into the first coat for extra reinforcement.Step 4: Apply the Second Coat
– Allow the first coat to dry (approximately 4–6 hours).
– Apply the second coat in the opposite direction to ensure even coverage.Step 5: Allow to Cure
– Let SCC Flex-E-Guard fully cure before exposing it to moisture.
